Global Privacy Control is a browser-level signal that a visitor does not want sale or sharing of personal information. The public site treats it as a strict privacy preference.

## Site behavior

When GPC is detected, errata:

- forces analytics off
- forces marketing off
- sets do-not-sell/share state
- keeps essential cookies available
- shows the detected state on `/cookies`

This prevents the splash from importing PostHog, sending analytics requests, or creating PostHog browser storage, even when analytics is enabled for the deployment.

## Why honor it now?

GPC is enforced at the same boundary as a visitor rejection. The browser signal, stored consent state, runtime gate, and legal disclosures therefore describe the same behavior.
